Biographical/Historical Note

William Oldfield served in the United States House of Representatives from 1909-1928 as a congressman from Arkansas. He was born in Franklin, Arkansas in Izard County. He enlisted in the armed forces during the Spanish American War in 1898. He died in Washington, District of Columbia while still holding office on November 19, 1928.
