This collection contains a brief history of the Weaver-Field family of Little Rock.

Biographical/Historical Note

Samuel Montgomery Weaver, Sr., was born October 1, 1805, in Kentucky. He married Mary Eliza Rosein 1836. She was born November 3, 1813, to Horace Boardman Rose in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Weaver moved to Little Rock, Arkansas, in 1836, shortly after their marriage. They had five children that lived past infancy: Horace Boardman, Omer Rose, George Vance, Samuel Montgomery "Chunk", Jr., and Mary. Samuel Montgomery Weaver, Sr. died April 21, 1864, leaving Mary a widow. She died December13, 1904.
