Description
This is a color postcard with an image of the lake with woods surrounding it and landing with a ferry with cars on it leaving on the front. There is a handwritten note on the back. It was mailed on June 4th, 1953.
Biographical/Historical Note
Norfork Lake is a man-made lake. Construction on the dam began in 1941 and was completed in 1944. The lake covers 22,000 acres in Baxter and Fulton County, Arkansas and Ozark County, Missouri.

Norfork Lake, Located in the beautiful Ozarks of Ar-
kansas-Missouri covers an area of about 30,000 acres and
has a shore line of 500 miles. This fine resort area may be
reached on U.S. highway 62 from Harrison - Yellville
- Cotter - Mountain Home and Viola - Salem, Arkansas
Nearest Missouri towns are Gainesville - Bakersville and
West Plains.
