Biographical/Historical Note
This photograph was taken by L.E. Granger, a photographer for the Arkansas Writers' Project. The Arkansas Writers' Project was part of the Federal Writers' Project, a Works Progress Administration program that employed writers during the Great Depression, who wrote about life and culture in local communities.
