These electric companies include Consumers Electric Company in New Orleans, founded in 1907; City Electric Light and Water Works in Alexandria, Louisiana, founded in 1909; Houston Lighting and Power Company in Texas, founded in 1905; and Little Rock Street Railway and Electric Company.
