Biographical/Historical Note

The Arkansas History Commission was established in 1905 by the Arkansas General Assembly to function as Arkansas's official state archives. In 2016, in a special session of the Arkansas General Assembly, the Arkansas History Commission was renamed the Arkansas State Archives.
