This newsletter includes an image of suffragettes in front of the State Capitol building, an image of a Civil War era flag repatriated to Missouri from the AHC, and an image of a page from the Journal of Dr. T.W. Hardison. March 2014 marks the first month of publishing this newsletter with the title "The Arkansas Archivist."

Biographical/Historical Note

The Arkansas History Commission was established in 1905 by the Arkansas General Assembly to function as Arkansas's official state archives. In 2016, in a special session of the Arkansas General Assembly, the Arkansas History Commission was renamed the Arkansas State Archives.
