Biographical/Historical Note
The Sixth Arkansas Infantry Regiment was organized at Little Rock on June 10, 1861 with eleven companies. They were involved in fighting in Missouri, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Georgia. Of the nearly 1000 men originally mustered, only about 150 were still there by the time they were surrendered.
