This collection contains a muster roll of Company "C," Ninth Arkansas Infantry.

Biographical/Historical Note

Ninth Arkansas Infantry Regiment was organized at Pine Bluff, Arkansas, in July 1861, and was known as Parson's Regiment because it contained forty-two ministers. Its companies were recruited in Jefferson, Union, Drew, Bradley, and Ashley counties.
