This collection contains correspondence and legal documents related to Robert Lee "Bob" Butt's career as an attorney and as a city attorney of Rogers, Arkansas. Also included is family information belonging to Margaret Porch.
Biographical/Historical Note
Robert Lee Butt was born May 21, 1906, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, the son of Festus O. and Esther Mae Cox Butt. Robert opened a law practice in Rogers after graduating from Cumberland University Law School, Lebanon, Tennessee. He married Floraine Sexton Porch, the daughter of Homer and Margaret Bowden Porch. Robert and Floraine Butt had one daughter, Sylvia Butt Irwin. Robert Lee Butt died November 4, 1959.
