This collection includes a dedication program for a marker for Revolutionary War veteran Nathaniel McCarroll, a genealogical index, and a binder that includes copies of letters from National Lineage Research Chairman Laura Jones Thompson and a directory of volunteer lineage researchers from across the country. It also includes a large collection of Daughters of the American Revolution Magazines.

Biographical/Historical Note

The Daughters of the American Revolution is a lineage-based organization for female descendants of military, civic, or political leaders of the American Revolutionary War. It is active in historic preservation, education, and patriotic endeavors and offers funding to support related initiatives. The materials in this collection, other than the Jonesboro (Craighead County) centennial jubilee project, are general in nature and not specific to the region served by NEARA. These materials were donated to the Lawrence County Historical Society by the family of a DAR member who passed away.
