This map shows the location and founding date of post offices in Phillips County.
Biographical/Historical Note
Phillips County, part of the Delta Region of Arkansas, was created from land divided from Arkansas County by the Arkansas Territorial Legislature on May 1, 1820. It was named after Sylvannus Phillips, an early settler. The county seat of Helena was named after his daughter.
