Transcription

General Zebulon M. Pike after whom Pike County and Camp Pike were named was killed in assault on York (Canada) Apr. 27, 1813.

April 27, 1865 S. S. Sultana disaster on the Mississippi River in which 1,700 exchanged prisoners of war were killed.
