Diary of physician T.W. Hardison for the year 1933, including everyday life, patient appointments, Hardison's writing process, work with the local medical society and the Red Cross, and thoughts on the opening of the Civilian Conservation Corps camp on Petit Jean Mountain.

Biographical/Historical Note

Thomas William Hardison, a Petit Jean Mountain physician, author, and geologist, was instrumental in the creation of Arkansas's state parks system. He served as a member of the Arkansas State Parks Commission and was, for a time, chairman. He was born in 1884 at Richland, Columbia County, Arkansas. He died in April 1957.
