Diary of physician T.W. Hardison for the year 1931, including everyday life, patient appointments, weather reports, Hardison's writing processes, land deals, work with the local school and medical boards, and Hardison's perspective on the economic depression in the region.
Biographical/Historical Note
Thomas William Hardison, a Petit Jean Mountain physician, author, and geologist, was instrumental in the creation of Arkansas's state parks system. He served as a member of the Arkansas State Parks Commission and was, for a time, chairman. He was born in 1884 at Richland, Columbia County, Arkansas. He died in April 1957.
