This collection contains correspondence concerning the donation of some "Arkansaw Traveler" newspapers to the Arkansas History Commission in 1948.
Biographical/Historical Note
Dallas T. Herndon was the first director of the Arkansas History Commission and State Archives (1911-1953). As the director, he frequently received letters from people seeking to donate material. Lucy McMurrey, of Cold Springs, Texas, donated issues of the "Arkansaw Traveler" newspaper.
