This collection contains photocopies of financial documents belonging to the Miller family, including notes, receipts, and a bill.

Biographical/Historical Note

The Miller family were early settlers and farmers in Arkansas. Horatio S. Miller, the patriarch of the family, established a farm in Lawrence County in the 1830s. Some of his business dealings were with his neighbor and fellow farmer, William Wasson, with whom he bought and sold cattle.
