This collection contains a deed for Western Creek Indian Nation lands in Alabama.

Biographical/Historical Note

Nehar Micco (1780-1836) was head chief (as indicated by Micco) of the lower Creek Indian towns prior to removal. He died in December 1836 and sometime after his heirs sold Nehar Micco's land issued to him as a result of the Treaty of Cussetta. This land was located in Russell County, Alabama. The buyer was Seaborn Hill.
