This collection contains the parole certificate of Jacob Deck, Private in Company F, 8th Missouri Cavalry, Confederate States Army.

Biographical/Historical Note

Jacob Deck enlisted for service in the Civil War on September 20, 1862, at Cape Girardeau, Missouri, as a Private in Company F, 8th Missouri Cavalry, Confederate States Army. He served through the end of the war and surrendered with his company at New Orleans, Louisiana, May 26, 1865. He was paroled June 7, 1865, at Shreveport, Louisiana.
