Biographical/Historical Note
Mary Frances Sale was born to William F. Sale and Anna Elizabeth Lenore Sale November 17, 1816, in Amherst County, Virginia. She married Albert G. Edmonson (1805-1888) on May 23, 1854, and raised his three children, William, Mary Elizabeth, and Carolyn Pinson from his first marriage, along with their two children, Louise Titus and John Albert. They lived at Holly Grove Plantation in Phillips County, Arkansas. Mary Frances Sale Edmonson died after a serious illness around 1868.
