Description

This collection holds one poem written by Josie Frazee Cappleman titled "In the Ozarks." This poem has a pencil drawing of two babies climbing a staircase.

Biographical/Historical Note

Josie Frazee Cappleman was born to Joseph Samuel and Ann Elizabeth Stone Frazee in Mason County, Kentucky. She married George Telford Cappleman and had two children Louis and George. Josie was a writer of poetry, short stories, and American history. A few of her many accomplishments are: she was one the women who founded the Poets Roundtable of Arkansas; she organized the Mississippi division of the United Daughters of the Conference; was President of Mississippi federation of Women’s Clubs; served as poet laureate of Grand Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star of Arkansas, and National League of American Penwomen the Arkansas chapter.
