These records contain one ledger book with lists of members along with minutes of monthly church business meetings, correspondence, missionary reports, one photograph of John William West, and copies of annual “letters” to the Benton County Association.

Biographical/Historical Note

Pleasant Home Missionary Baptist Church was organized on August 23, 1903, by six members at Pactolus, a rural post office in Benton County, Arkansas. Located in Gravette, Benton County, Arkansas, the church was received into the fellowship of the Benton County Baptist Association Landmark in 1903. Around 1934 the church ceased meeting. Representatives from Pleasant Home Missionary Baptist Church were present at the Benton County Baptist Association Landmark 1933 session, but were not present at the 1938 session.
