This collection contains genealogical information (photographs, correspondence, newspaper clippings, military information, audiocassettes, and financial materials) for the White, Waters, Mann, Nichols, and Johnson families, who lived in Prairie and Lonoke Counties in Arkansas. Most of this genealogical information was compiled by Kay Waters Sakaris.

Biographical/Historical Note

Kay Sakaris Waters is a renowned professional genealogist and historian. Her passion for family history stemmed from her paternal grandfather, J.O. Waters, who spent time teaching her about her family. This collection contains her genealogical research pertaining various family branches who lived in Arkansas, specifically Prairie and Lonoke Counties. The families included are the White, Waters, Nichols, Mann, and Johnson families.
