This collection contains two broadsides, "Washington's Eulogies on the Character of His Aid de Camp Lieut. Colonel Tench Tilghman" and a card, "With compliments of Mr. Oswald Tilghman, Easton, Maryland."

Biographical/Historical Note

Tench Tilghman was an officer during the American Revolutionary War and was an aide-de-camp to General George Washington. Oswald Tilghman was an officer of the Confederate State Army and a senator of Maryland.
