This collection includes service documents, receipts, correspondence, and ephemera relating to Homer Henry Dalhoff's service onboard the U.S.S. Herbert and the U.S.S. Trenton during his time serving in the U.S. Navy.

Biographical/Historical Note

Homer Henry Dalhoff was born in Little Rock Arkansas, on January 10, 1902. Dalhoff enlisted in the U.S. Navy as an Apprentice Seaman on May 17, 1919, at the age of 17. A veteran of World Wars I and II, Dalhoff retired from the Navy as a chief pharmacist in 1939 after serving for 20 years.
