Description

This collection contains a photocopy of Special Order No. 29, relating to the construction of a hospital and camp and the detachment of the 4th Arkansas Cavalry. It also contains a photocopy of a photograph of Henry Martin Marvin.

Biographical/Historical Note

Henry Martin Marvin was an assistant surgeon in the 12th Michigan Infantry during the Civil War. According to the Special Order in this collection, he was placed in charge of the establishment of a hospital and camp and in control of the detachment of the 4th Arkansas Cavalry.
