This collection contains brochures and pamphlets from Draughon School of Business in Little Rock, Arkansas, from 1938 to 1945.
Biographical/Historical Note
Draughons' Practical Business College opened in Little Rock, Arkansas, on February 5, 1900. It offered courses ranging from typing to television and radio servicing. The school was founded by John F. Draughon. The first Draughon Business College was opened in eastern Tennessee in 1879. Draughon eventually opened over 38 other business schools throughout the country. The Little Rock school's name was changed to Draughon School of Business on September 30, 1935. The school was in operation for over 90 years, but closed in 1991 after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
