This collection contains two Little Rock Public Schools directories from the years 1930-1931 and 1935-1936. It also contains one teachers' directory for West Side Junior High School from September 11, 1931, and one brochure for Little Rock Public Schools.
Biographical/Historical Note
The Little Rock School District is a school district in Little Rock (Pulaski, Co.) Arkansas. The district currently includes around 49 schools. The directories in this collection cover several schools in the district, some of which are now defunct. They contain names and contact information for administrators, teachers, school organizations, and staff members. There is also a teachers' directory for West Side Junior High School. West Side Junior High School was a school in the Little Rock School District that opened in 1917. The school closed in 1971. The collection also includes a brochure produced by Little Rock Public Schools which profiles the organization, administration, programs of study, and other information pertaining to the school.
