This collection contains one newsletter produced by the Arkansas Ecology Center from 1970. The newsletter contains information on recycling and ways to help the environment.
Biographical/Historical Note
The Arkansas Ecology Center was first named the "Friends of Arkansas" and then later the "Environmental Information Center." It became an official domestic non-profit corporation on May 1, 1970. The main purpose of the center was to conduct environment research and provide information to the public. The center maintained a library of books, news clippings, and copies of environmental publications. Business was conducted through a seven-member board of directors. The center was funded by public donations and small grants. It became defunct around July of 1981.
