This collection consists of one scrapbook containing constitution, membership, newspaper clippings, pamphlets, and programs relating to the South Arkansas Audubon Society, established in 1962.
Biographical/Historical Note
Established in 1962, the South Arkansas Audubon Society hosted educational events and bird walks relating to Audubon activities in South Arkansas. Collection materials note, "the purpose and objective of this Society shall be to engage in any educational, investigative, scientific, literary, philanthropic, historical, and charitable pursuits as may be part of the stated purposes of the National Audubon Society of which this Society shall function as affiliate."
