The Arkansas Department of Labor records consist of the press files from 2007 to 2012. The folders contain correspondence, memoranda, performance reports, claims, press releases, and newspaper articles pertaining to the labor issues in Arkansas.

Biographical/Historical Note

Since 1913, the Arkansas Department of Labor has been enforcing the labor laws of the state. The department consists of four divisions: Administrative, Labor Standards, Occupational Safety and Health, and Code Enforcement. Their mission has changed over the years and today not only do they promote, and develop the health, safety and welfare of the working individuals, but they also enforce laws to improve working conditions.
