This collection contains three programs for events held by the Arkansas Federation of Garden Clubs from 1949 to 1956.
Biographical/Historical Note
The garden club movement in the United States began in Athens, Georgia, in 1891. The first garden club in Arkansas was the Little Rock Garden Club, organized by Mrs. H.N. Heiskell in 1923. Currently, the Arkansas Federation of Garden Clubs consists of sixty-five clubs with membership of over a thousand.
