Biographical/Historical Note
This collection contains documents related to the Owens family of Arkansas. James A. Owens was born in Mississippi on November 5, 1836. He married Martha J. Goins on May 4, 1858. He enlisted in the Confederate Army on February 8, 1862, at Monticello, Arkansas.
