This collection is comprised of discs of various Arkansas cemeteries, oral histories, and events photographed by Richard Bullard.

Biographical/Historical Note

William Richard Bullard was born on January 4, 1928, in Marmaduke, Greene County, Arkansas, to Clarence W. and Verna B. Bullard, the couple’s second child. Bullard attended Arkansas State Teachers College, which is now known as the University of Central Arkansas in Conway. Bullard married Vera Darlene Stipp and raised two daughters. Bullard was an avid photographer who enjoyed capturing historical landmarks, community events, and cemeteries across the state of Arkansas. He also collected oral histories from various Arkansans in order to preserve the historical narratives of Arkansas communities. He volunteered at the Grand Prairie Development Center and the Museum of the Arkansas Grand Prairie. Richard Bullard died on May 18, 2017, in his hometown of Stuttgart, Arkansas.
