This collection contains a photocopy of a petition for declaration of insanity for Sarah Williams in the probate court. The petition was completed by John Lindsey and is undated.
Biographical/Historical Note
Sarah Williams was a resident Saline County at the time this probate record was completed. She married William Williams, a farmer, in 1803. By the 1860 census, she is listed as an invalid, living with John Y. Lindsey and his family; along with her two children, Agnes and William. John Lindsey completed this petition for declaration of insanity for Sarah Williams in the probate court.
