This requisition was for ordnance for the Seventh Arkansas Regiment, CSA.

Biographical/Historical Note

The Seventh Arkansas Regiment of the Confederate States Army was also known as "Shaver's Regiment." Colonel Robert G. Shaver received an order to organize a regiment of ten companies, which he did on June 10, 1861, at Smithville, Lawrence County. The Seventh Arkansas took part in the Army of Tennessee's battles at the beginning of the war. Their headquarters were in Bowling Green, Kentucky, from October 1861 until February 1862.
