This collection contains a deed dated February 21, 1874 between The Memphis and Little Rock Railroad Company and Little Berry Johnson for land in St. Francis County, Arkansas.
Biographical/Historical Note
The Memphis Little Rock Railroad was constructed from 1854 and 1871. It was sold under foreclosure to the Choctaw and Memphis Railroad in 1898. The Choctaw was later purchased by the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad. In 1874 the Memphis and Little Rock Railroad sold land in St. Francis County, Arkansas to Little Berry Johnson.
