This collection contains two papers by Tom Herring, of El Dorado, Arkansas on the "Battle of Prairie Grove," written in 1984.
Biographical/Historical Note
The Battle of Prairie Grove, took place at Prairie Grove, Washington County, Arkansas, December 7, 1862. While considered a draw, the withdrawal of the Confederate troops assured Missouri and northern Arkansas remained under the Federal troops control.
