This collection contains a notice appointing Stacy Davis as executrix of Jeremiah Davis' estate.
Biographical/Historical Note
Jeremiah Davis (1787-1822) was born around 1787 possibly in Wales. He married Stacia "Stacy" Davis January 15, 1804, in Christian County, Kentucky. Stacy Davis (1787-?), born 1787 was the daughter of a William Davis and unrelated to Jeremiah. Jeremiah died in 1822 in Murfreesboro, Clark County (present day Pike County), Arkansas. Stacy Davis was appointed the executrix of Jeremiah Davis' estate. She remarried a Mr. Wright soon after Davis' death but the marriage was short lived due to Wright's death. Stacia then took back her Davis surname. It is believed she died before 1860 in Pike County, Arkansas
