This collection contains an inventory for the estate of Samuel Turner

Biographical/Historical Note

Rev. Samuel Turner (1790-1859) was born in Person County, North Carolina in 1790 to John Turner and Elizabeth Dillard Turner. John Turner was a Primitive Baptist preacher and Samuel Turner became a Primitive Baptist preacher as well. Samuel Turner married Elizabeth Norris around 1810 in Dickson County, Tennessee and the family moved to Johnson County, Arkansas in the 1830s. Turner served as Johnson County Representative in 1846. Rev. Samuel Turner died on July 23, 1859.
