This collection contains clippings, records, and correspondence of the Rev. Jessup L. Johnston of Arkansas.

Biographical/Historical Note

Rev. Jessup L. Johnston (1842-1925) was born in 1842 in North Carolina. His family moved to Georgia and he lived there until the 1880s. Johnston married Mary Fannie Power on June 1, 1881. Johnston was ordained an elder in the Little Rock conference in 1889 and remained active until 1909. Mary Johnston died in 1912 and the Rev. Johnston died in 1925.
