Biographical/Historical Note

L. Warde of Westwood, Arkansas wrote a letter to W.G. Ford on July 2, 1865 explaining why he is in possession of Ford's negroes and the trouble he has had in keeping them. He talks about his arrest by General Davidson's command and the trouble caused by the fall of Little Rock.
