Description

This collection consists mainly of letters and cards that Lee and Myrtle Hatch received from family members, primarily sisters and nieces, and their son, Elmer. Also included are poems written by Myrtle Hatch, songs and poems she copied, greeting card fronts she used to decorate her walls, and comic books and magazines.

Biographical/Historical Note

Lee and Myrtle Weeks Hatch lived in Howard County, Arkansas, near Nashville. Lee Hatch was born at Tahlequah, Indian Territory (now Oklahoma), in September 1892 and died at Nashville in March 1988.Myrtle Weeks Hatch was born at Vandervoort, Montgomery County, Arkansas, in August 1905 and died at her home in Howard County in June 1986. Both are buried in County Line Cemetery, near Nashville.
