This notebook contains information about the First Pyramid Life Building, including rent estimates, floor plans, correspondence, and a news release announcing the sale of the building to Patrick Associates, Ltd.
Biographical/Historical Note
The Southern Trust Building, at 221 West 2nd Street, opened in 1908 in Little Rock, Arkansas. At ten stories it was hailed as the "first modern office building" in the state. It was known as the Home Insurance Building in the 1920s. First Pyramid Life Insurance Company of America moved into the building in 1925 and purchased it in 1937. It was sold to Patrick Associates, Ltd., in 1977. Today it is known as Pyramid Place.
