Comments

Arkansas has had many visits from United States Presidents. Ulysses S. Grant's visit was a huge deal at the time. The visit was marked by banquets and dinners and the city of Little Rock was decked out in banners and bunting in celebration. This visit was only five years before Grant's death and only five years after his intervention in the Brooks-Baxter War in Little Rock. - Danyelle McNeill
