Comments
The dedication of Bull Shoals dam marked a major point in the damming of the White River. My grandfather, Samuel Hamblen "Ham" Cole, was one of the engineers on both dams. I grew up hearing my mother's, Aunt Sarah's and grandmother's stories of living in the Government Village at Mountain Home during both dams' construction. Bull Shoals itself was one of the largest concrete structures until 2009. - Jane Wilkerson
