Comments

I heard about this school while researching something else and was excited to find we had a prospectus for this. It is one of the earliest schools sponsored by the Diocese of Little Rock (Catholic Church). It was started by a former Confederate soldier-turned-priest, Monsignor John Michael Lucey in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. The school opened in September, 1889, and the prospectus came out in early 1890 giving researchers a glimpse at what the school was like; as well as what they hoped the school would become. - Amanda Paige
