Description
This is a land deed for a tract of land sold by Jane Williams to the Board of Directors of School District number 26 in Morgan Township of Lawrence County for three dollars.

[Page 1] Know all men by these presents[sic] that
I Jane Williams of the Township of
morgan County of Lawrence and State of Ark
ansas party of the first part for and in consider
ation of the Sum of Three dollars to me paid
by the Board of School directors of School district
N.O. Twenty Six of the Township of morgan County
of Lawrence and State of Arkansas the recipt[sic] whare[sic]
of is hereby acknowledged do here by grant bargain
and Sell and convey to School district N.O. twenty six
afore Said the party of the Second part and thare[sic]
assigns fore[sic] ever the following discribed[sic] parecl[sic] of
Land namely begining[sic] at the S. E. corner of the chur
ch house Land thence N. 89' 45" W 9' 90/100 chains thence
South 3 3/100 chains thence S 89' 45" E 9' 90/100 thence N 3 3/100
chanes[sic] to the place of begining[sic] being A part of the
N E ¼ of the N E ¼ of Section, 36 , in Town by 16 N.
Range 3 West togather[sic] with all the privilages[sic] and
app--tinances thare[sic] to belonging to have and to hold the
Same to the Said party of the Second part and thare[sic]
assigns forever and the Said party of the first part
for hur[sic] Self hur[sic] heirs executors and administrators
do covenant grant bargain and agree to and with the
Said party of the Second part and Their assigns that at
the Time of the insealing[sic] and delivery of these presents[sic]
thay She were will sized of the premises a book
conveyed as of A good Sure perfect absalute[sic] and
indefeasable[sic] estate of inheritance in the Law
[Page 2] in fee Simple and that the Said Lands and premices[sic]
are free from all encumberances[sic] whatever and
that the above bargained primaces[sic] in the queit[sic] and
peacable[sic] possession of the Said party of the Second part and their assigns against all and every person
or persons lawfully claiming or to claim the hole
or any part thareof[sic] thay[sic] will fore[sic] ever warrant and defend
and for the considerations aforesaid and for divers[sic]
others good and valuable considerations
in Testimony whareof[sic] I have hereunto Set my
hand and Seal This 7th day of August 1888

Justice of the peace within and for the County of
Lawrence in the State of Arkan[sas] appeared in
person Jane Williams to me personaly[sic] well
Known as the person whose name appears upon
the within and foregoing deed of conveyance as the
party grantor and Stated that She had executed
the Same for the consideration and purposes Tharein[sic]
mentioned and Set fourth[sic] and I do hereby So
certify in Testimony whareof[sic] I have hereunto Set
my hand as Such Justice of the peace at the County
[of Law]rence on the 7th day of August 1888
