Description
This color postcard depicts a view of first Street, Rogers, Benton County, Arkansas. The postcard was never mailed, and the back of it is blank.
Biographical/Historical Note
Rogers was named after Captain Charles Warrington Rogers, who was vice-president and general manager of the St. Louis and San Francisco Railway, also known as the Frisco line. The town was established and incorporated in 1881, the year the Frisco line arrived; it was at this time the area residents honored Captain Rogers by naming it for him.
