This collection contains two stories written by John Shoemaker and one photograph.
Biographical/Historical Note
John Shoemaker wrote two unpublished papers titled “Galla Rock” and “The Cherokee in the Arkansas River Valley." Shoemaker built his family’s farm in 1978 at Green Hill on the western fringe of the old town of Galley Rock, Pope County, Arkansas. Both papers describe the history of that region.
